School bus tracking app

Your child’s school run

Trackable, real-time, safe, and a study companion. driverSecure ❤️

07:10

5 min before departure

At the set departure times for the run to school and the run home, students and parents are notified. Note: no notification is sent on public holidays, as there are no classes.

07:15

The system plans the route

The best route is prepared from the pick-up points of every student not reported as “not riding today”. It shortens the time on the road and saves fuel.

07:21

7 min from your door

When the bus is 7 minutes from the student’s pick-up point, the student and the parent are notified. Plenty of time to get ready. 😊

07:28

On board. Or not.

At every stop, the bus attendant marks whether the student got on. The parent and the student are notified.

08:02

Arrived at school

The bus attendant scans the tag at the very back of the bus; then every parent gets a hand-over notification for their own child.

16:24

Evening: handed over at the door

On the way home every drop-off is checked off. Parents know the moment their child steps off the bus.

Route

The system, not the driver, sets the order of stops.

On every run to school and home, the shortest path is recalculated for the students riding that day. Siblings at the same door count as one stop, and a student who is not riding drops off the route.

driverYou

A 25-minute ride. A 10-question review.

driverYou is an AI study companion that opens only during the bus ride. The student picks their grade, subject and topic, and a curriculum-aligned quiz is prepared. It turns on only with a parent’s consent.

1–12grades
10questions per ride
2rides a day: warm-up and review
Vehicle check

No child left on board.

A child who falls asleep on the bus can be left behind in a moment of inattention. With driverSecure, before ending a trip the bus attendant walks to the very back of the bus and scans the tag on the back seat. Every check is recorded. No sensors, no extra hardware; just one tag.

  1. End the trip. The bus attendant ends the trip on reaching school or the last stop.
  2. Walk to the back, scan the tag.Between and under the seats are checked and the tag on the back seat is scanned. If the tag cannot be read, the attendant writes why and the bus company is notified.
  3. Parents and the company are informed.Parents receive “no one left on board”. The bus company is alerted at once about trips left open or missing drop-off records.

Health information

Why do we ask? For an emergency.

Blood type, allergies, chronic conditions and medication are entered optionally by the bus company or a parent. There is one purpose: if something happens on the way, the bus attendant can respond correctly.

Blood type

In an accident or emergency, the attendant can tell paramedics straight away.

Allergies

The attendant knows in advance what to do for a bee sting or a food allergy.

Chronic conditions and medication

With asthma, epilepsy or diabetes, the first minutes matter.

Only the parent, the student, the route’s bus attendant and driver, and the bus company can see this information. Other parents on the route cannot. It is protected as sensitive personal data.

Everyone sees only what they need.

Parent

Follows the bus live, reports "not riding today", sets the pick-up point, adds the details they want to share about their child and gives driverYou access.

Student

Sees where the bus is and studies with driverYou on the way.

Bus attendant

Starts the trip, checks students on and off, checks the vehicle at the end of the trip, and sends announcements to parents.

Driver

Drives stop to stop with navigation, in the order the system sets.

Bus company

Manages routes, schedules and students in one place, and pauses routes during school holidays.

Location only on the road

The bus location is shared only while a trip is running, from the bus attendant’s phone.

Other homes stay hidden

Parents see the bus and their own child, never the pick-up points of other students on the route.

No passwords

Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to the phone number the bus company registered.

Frequently asked questions

What is driverSecure?

driverSecure is a school bus tracking app. It brings together live bus tracking, parent notifications, a hardware-free vehicle check and learning on the way with driverYou. The transport company, bus attendant, driver, parent and student each use the same app in their own role.

How do parents track the school bus?

When a trip starts, the bus appears live on the map and the arrival time is calculated along the road. Parents are notified 5 minutes before departure, 7 minutes before the bus reaches home, when their child boards or does not board, on arrival at school and on drop-off at home.

How does it prevent a child being left on the bus?

At the end of a trip the bus attendant cannot finish it without scanning the QR tag on the back seat. Once scanned, parents receive “Vehicle checked, no one left inside”. The transport company is alerted to trips left open and to missing drop-off records.

Does the vehicle need any hardware?

No. Location comes from the bus attendant’s phone during the trip. The vehicle check only needs a QR tag printed from the app; no sensors, card readers or tracking devices.

What is driverYou?

driverYou is an AI study companion that opens while the bus is on the road, and only with parental consent. The student picks a grade, subject and topic, reads a short summary, then answers a 10-question quiz with an explanation after each question. The morning run is a warm-up for the day, the afternoon run a review of it. Parents see weekly quizzes, the average, the streak and the hardest subjects, and can withdraw consent at any time. The student’s name is never sent to the AI; only grade, subject and topic are.

Why do you ask for health information?

Blood type, allergies and chronic conditions are kept so the bus attendant can act correctly in an emergency. The transport company or the parent enters them, and only the parent, the student, the route’s attendant and driver and the transport company can see them.

How is personal data protected?

The bus location is shared only during a trip, and parents cannot see other students’ homes on the route. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to the number the transport company registered; there are no passwords. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

How does a transport company get started?

Just email our support address. We enter the routes, trip times, students and parents for you, and the attendant, driver and parents receive their sign-in details by SMS. The app works on iPhone and Android phones.
